Your insurance shouldn’t just give you a price. It should give you a path.
Understand what affects your risk. Choose whether to share driving data. Improve what you can—and benefit when your risk improves.
An early-stage auto insurance concept being built with drivers.
The problem isn’t only the price
Drivers often receive an insurance price without clearly understanding what affects it, what they can improve, or how becoming a lower-risk customer can benefit them.
InsureWise is being built to give drivers more understanding, more choice, and a meaningful role in reducing risk.
The relationship we’re building
1. Understand your risk
See the major factors influencing your risk and insurance price—not only the final number.
2. Choose how you participate
Decide whether you want to share additional driving data to demonstrate how you actually drive.
3. Improve what you can
Understand which behaviors and risk factors you can change, and follow your progress over time.
4. Benefit when risk improves
When your actions help reduce risk, InsureWise is designed around the principle that the resulting value should not flow only one way.
Imagine your risk improves
Six months of safer driving. Fewer risky driving patterns. No incidents.
Today, that progress can feel almost invisible to the customer.
InsureWise is being designed to show you what changed, why it matters, and how becoming a lower risk could create value for you—not only for the insurer.
You decide whether to share additional driving data. If you participate, that data should help you demonstrate improvement, not simply make you feel watched.
That’s what a better-aligned insurance relationship could look like.
What InsureWise is being designed to offer
- Clearer insight into what affects your risk and insurance price
- Meaningful choice over whether you share additional driving data
- Practical guidance on what you can improve
- Recognition when your actions help reduce risk
- A more evidence-led experience when a claim happens
Why I’m Building InsureWise
I started thinking about InsureWise as a customer.
I was paying thousands of dollars every year for auto insurance, but I couldn’t clearly answer some basic questions: Why exactly am I paying this price? What can I improve? And if I become a lower-risk customer, how does that benefit me?
Then an experience involving an accident and fraud made that frustration personal. For a moment, insurance almost felt like a scam—not because insurance is a scam, but because I understood so little about the relationship when it mattered most.
The more I studied the industry, the more my thinking changed. I stopped believing the problem was simply that insurance companies were bad. I began to see that the relationship itself could be designed better.
That’s where InsureWise started.
Where InsureWise Is Today
InsureWise is currently in development.
We’re building the first MVP to test whether drivers value a different kind of insurance relationship:
• Clearer understanding of what affects their risk
• Control over whether they share additional driving data
• A practical path to improve what they can
• A model where lower risk can create value for both sides
We’re talking with drivers and insurance professionals, testing the idea, and refining what can work in the real world.
InsureWise does not currently offer insurance policies or quotes.
